Angie Matthews

Welcome to my blog-world.

I’m a mom, a wife, a friend, a sister, an aunt, a lover, a believer, a dreamer. An eternal optimist. I am 28 (2 years until the big 3-0!). I ♥ Texas! I am no one else but myself, what a profound line, eh? I do not pretend to be someone I’m not when I am taking photographs at your wedding or photographing your newborn in your home. I have a LOUD laugh, I am HAPPY… you might catch me dancing and singing at your wedding. I LOVE people. Each and every one of my clients are unique and special to me. I love it when a client becomes my FRIEND:-)I am inspired by LOVE.

I am also a stay-at-home mommy to my 2 year old “baby” boy, Ty. While my oldest son, Ethan, is in day school during the week. Yes, I have my hands quite full- a 2 AND a 3 year old! Whew!:-)There is no greater gift, than the gift of life and being a mommy! It is INCREDIBLE! I often just stare and memorize each and every part of their cute little faces and fingers and toes- I can’t believe they are mine- ALL mine; to love and hold and grow together with.

Some of my favorite things are: coffee, the BEACH, Sex and the City, a good red wine, & being a mommy and a wife…

How was Posh born?

About 2 years ago, my lovely cousin, Brittany Galindo, and I bought our first Digital SLR cameras. We have been best friends for 28 years and always wanted to have a business together. We have always loved art, and photography to us was another art form that allowed us to express ourselves. That’s how Posh Photography was born! Why “Posh”? Well, quite simply we wanted a name that encompassed: Fashion, Fun, Chicness, Youth & Elegance. “Posh” to us was all of that! Both of us being brides before, we knew we could really connect with other brides and who doesn’t want to witness & document LOVE as a job! We have been really blessed and have come so far in these almost 2 years together. We never knew that we had this passion in us that was dying to get out. While I (Angie) have always been a painter, photography has become my passion and my heart. I still LOVE to paint and often paint what I photograph and photograph what I paint. Confusing huh? After hours and hours, day upon day research, practice and practice, laughter and tears, tons of sessions to build our portfolio, we thought it was time to start making some moolah.

While Posh has become quite busy, Brittany still has her full-time job and has let me take over all portrait sessions and she now is the second shooter at all weddings and still does some portrait sessions. I am very lucky to have such a trusting partner-in-crime.:-)

Here is Brittany- Pic by me. Isn’t she a beauty?
